«Чувак» — имя тем, кому отрезали яйца раньше, чем завелась мысль.

В тюремно-цыганском и блатном жаргоне, а также, по «Словарю русского арго» В. С. Елистратова, слово «чувак» изначально обозначало кастрированного барана, верблюда или кастрированное животное; позднее оно стало нейтральным сленговым словом: «парень», «тип».

Так язык оформляет заовцевывание: клеймо скота становится самоназванием.
Чувак — это кастрат, переживший своё происхождение и добровольно принявший своё уменьшение за норму жизни.

“Chuvak” is the name for those whose balls were cut off before thought began.

In prison Gypsy argot and Russian criminal slang, and also according to V. S. Elistratov’s Dictionary of Russian Argo, the word chuvak originally meant a castrated ram, a camel, or, more generally, a castrated animal; later it became a neutral slang word meaning “dude” or “fella.”

Thus language formalizes sheepification: the brand of livestock becomes a self‑designation.
A chuvak is a castrate who has outlived his origin and willingly taken his own diminishment as the norm of life.
